A fantastic and rare opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to deliver multiple concurrent change management projects for a major Network development, integration and transformation programme.
Woking for a leading and highly respected telecoms service provider as part of the operations project & programme office, the position is offered on a 9 month fixed term contract basis with a pro rata basic salary of circa £40,000 plus benefits.
The Project Manager position is based in the Manchester, Lancashire, Stockport, Cheshire, North West England area and will be accountable to the head of programme management.
Requiring an experienced, commercial and technically aware Project Manager the position holder will provide Technical and Business Change Project Management skills for this major WAN network infrastructure & operational systems development, migration, integration, consolidation and build programme.
This role forms part of a major change management, integration, rationalisation & network build initiative. As a result of this business transformation and network deployment programme the organisation will streamline its operations, evolve its network and offer new next generation products and services to a wider customer base.
With ownership for the Networks change agenda (encompassing: integration, migration, consolidation, rationalisation, build, deployment and rollout) the project manager will deliver the necessary programmes, to transform the businesses capabilities for both core network infrastructure architecture and operational support systems (OSS).
Managing the delivery of multiple concurrent projects the Project Managers remit will be to ensure that the individual projects meet the specified requirements and are delivered to the appropriate quality, within budget and on time.
From strategic project planning through to operational delivery the Project Manager will make critical business decisions throughout the full project lifecycle and will: exercise project control, produce and maintain the project plans, manage development and implementation of the projects, ensure project costs and P&L is maintained, ensure that acceptance criteria are fulfilled, manage risks, deal with resource management & allocation, overcome project hurdles and develop contingency plans, produce progress reports & associated project documentation and manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and external 3rd parties suppliers.
Candidates must have previous Project Management experience gained with an integration, migration or new product & service deployment environment and will have had exposure to similar responsibilities as outlined above.
You will be familiar with Prince2, PMI, APMP, ITIL or Six Sigma etc. methodologies and standards and will have managed major telecoms infrastructure projects.
